ABOUT SOMATIC BODYWORK.

Somatic Bodywork describes a set of physical practices which can help you live an embodied life and support you through periods of change and transformation. My practice is trauma-informed, it fosters resilience and self-regulation.

I use tools and techniques which were passed on to me by various teachers and I honour the cultural roots and lineage of their practices. I offer elements of various healing modalities including massage, reiki, shiatsu, breath work, mindfulness meditation and yoga.

A TYPICAL SESSION.

An opening to frame your intention for the session.

A hands-on part where I provide bodywork.

A closing to integrate learnings from the session.

You are welcome to bring forward themes or topics that you wish to work on. However no preparation is needed. Just show up as you are.

HEALING WOUNDS .

To give ourselves the ability to live more authentically and more connected to each other, we must come back into deep relationship with ourselves. 

We do so by sensing into the wisdom of our body. By welcoming thoughts, emotions, dreams and sensations with compassion. By allowing for vulnerability, non-judgment and kindness towards ourselves (and others), we learn to let go of what no longer serves us and make space for more alignment, joy and pleasure in life.

A Safe(r) SPACE.

Feeling safe to explore and sense into your body’s wisdom lies at the foundation of my practice. Without it, none of this work can take place.

Safety is a very personal feeling. It relates to our experiences, our beliefs and identities. My role is to understand your needs in order to hold space for you to engage in the somatic process. Regardless of the topic you bring to our session, everything we discuss and work on remains fully confidential.

TRANSFORMATION .

Somatic bodywork offers tools to reconnect with yourself and access your inner wisdom. Through touch, your body opens up as you access parts of yourself which may otherwise be out of reach. Over time, working with the body can alleviate stress, anxiety, fatigue and other limiting states. It can also foster a deeper connection with your inner voice and bring you closer in alignment with your purpose.
